Description : The Paxton,is a community pub in the heart of Gipsy Hill. Following an extensive refurbishment in 2018, the pub is now once again the pride of the area. We offer tasty home cooked food, where everything is cooked fresh on the premises. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh & seasonal ingredients. We source our produce locally where possible. Sundays are covered, with delicious Roasts and all the trimmings, that will not be beaten on freshness and quality. We are looking for a Full Time, Experienced Head Chef to join and lead our growing Team. The person we are looking for will have experience leading a busy kitchen, who can not only work under pressure but organise their team to do the same. You will have excellent hygiene standards and be willing to get your hands dirty with your team to deliver a spotless kitchen, consistent GPs and excellent dish presentation in a busy venue. We are looking for somebody with Strong Interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cohesively with a strong and creative General Manager. This role will give you the opportunity to be very creative. We strongly encourage and foster an open and creative working environment. Key Skills for the Role: • Excellent cooking skills • Knowledge of food production methods • Excellent communication skills • Have a can-do attitude • Be hands on in leading hygiene standards • Be organised and flexible • Be consistent in preparation of all food items • Organisational Flair Key Responsibilities of the Role • Responsible for managing all aspects of the Kitchen • Consistently prepare and cook all food to the standards and dish specifications, and train the team to do the same • Be responsible for the performance of the whole kitchen team • Deliver quality food at all times • Encourage Team members to continually improve their performance • Ensure kitchen team are fully trained and understand the correct procedures for preparing, cooking and presenting all items on our menu • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins • Ensuring a great guest experience to encourage repeat customers • Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards within the business • Completion of Company paperwork with regards to Health & Safety standards and processing delivery notes • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment Benefits: • Competitive Salary • Great Training and Development • Great Company Culture • Development Opportunities • Being a key player in the success of a new business If you're outgoing, passionate about food, service, meeting likeminded people and interested in working with a company who values their employees then please send your CV today.
